Post #4: The Generation "Zalpha" Stereotype

Hello and welcome back to A Teenager Tries to Understand , my blog about navigating the world as a teenage girl. In my fourth post, I wanted to discuss the stereotypes I and many of my peers face as members of Generation "Zalpha," in other words, born on the cusp of Generation Z and Generation Alpha.  As you might already know, Generation Z bridges the gap between Millennials and Generation Alpha, with its birth years usually spanning the mid-1990s to the early 2010s. Because precise boundaries are widely debated, with definitions shifting between 1995 and 2012, the exact transition remains unclear. Post #1: Welcome & What to Expect!

From massive societal issues to the most mundane everyday moments, there is a lot to process about being alive today, especially when you're a teenager like me. I'm just trying to make sense of it all, one topic at a time.

Hello and welcome to A Teenager Tries to Understand! I am so excited that you are here right now and I am so grateful for your support. For my first post, I wanted to introduce myself and give a brief overview of what to expect from the blog. My name is Evelyn Carr, and I am a teenage girl finding my identity and making it a goal to immerse myself in the ever-changing world we live in.

Through my writing, I hope to inform others about experiences I've had, issues that matter to me, and thoughts that come to me when I can't fall asleep at 3 AM. I plan to address similar topics in this blog and use it as a space to process my thoughts, whether that's by simply recounting my day or writing a persuasive essay on something I'm passionate about.

I am so excited to start this blogging journey, and I hope my writing inspires someone. Please leave feedback on this post in the comment section below, and follow my Pinterest account at @ATeenageBlog. I already can't wait to publish the next post -- see you then!
